Choose from Two Academies 40hrs of Training
December 2nd-6th or December 9-13
Monday through Friday 0730-1700
Location: McAllen Convention Center, 700 Convention Center Blvd McAllen TX 78501 (location is subject to change)
Training includes:
• Standing Manual/Marching
• Color Guard
• Firing Party
• Pall Bearers
• Flag Folding
• Uniform Prep
• Graduation: Full Honors Mock Funeral
Registration price $150
*groups do not have to attend the same academy but must be from the same department
*fee must be paid by the first day of the academy
*Uniform will be Departmental ball cap (neutral color ball cap if not assign by your agency), polo shirt, pants (jeans if not issued by your agency) belt and polished black boots
* Bring Class A uniform (Most formal Uniform if Class A not provided be your agency) for graduation
Terms and Conditions
Photo Release Policy
Any video recording of training may be used for in-house training only by MFD and other fire, police and EMS agencies and may not be published for public use at anytime.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations are subject to a $25 cancellation fee. No cancellation refunds will be processed within seven days of the course. You may send your cancellation notice [email protected]; subject Honor Guard Academy.
Special Conditions of Activity
Risks and dangers may include, but are not limited to falls, falling objects and broken or improperly used equipment, which could result in damage to or loss of property, illness or disease, physical or mental injury or death of participant or other persons.
Medical Condition
Participant should be free from any known physical or health problems that could prevent participation in the activities associated with the program.
Liability Release
I further agree to release the McAllen Fire Department, The Texas Line of Duty Death Task Force and The DrillMaster, its officers, employees, agents and volunteers from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions and causes of actions whatsoever for any loss, claim, damage, injury, illness or harm of any kind or nature arising out of participating in the aforementioned activity whether caused by negligence of releases or otherwise except that for which they are solely responsible.
I have read and understand the Cancellation policy, Photo Release policy, and the inherent risks of my participation and I AGREE to and accept all of these terms and conditions as stated in these Terms and Conditions.
